The brass heat exchanger boiler of the Rancilio Epoca has a capacity of 3.9 liters that allows you to brew and have a long steady flow of steam at the same time. Perfect crema comes from the right brewing method and the right pressure from the Epoca’s 15 bar pressure. The right brewing method takes some practice when you first try, but it won’t take long. The multi-positional steam wand has a rubber boot to protect you from burns. This a great feature when it is used commercially; especially when the barista is super busy. The pressure gauge is color coded for an easy view. The Potafilter is 58mm and not pod adaptable.
